Just got back to SF after a little trip south to Sayulita, Mexico. After 10 years without a vacation, me and the Mrs. headed south for some mental time off sitting in the sun, swimming and enjoying the watery Mexican beer. Here are some photos as we get back into the swing of things again.
Huge Clare Rojas in the international terminal at SFO.
Hello, Los Angeles.
Hello, Salton Sea
Highly recommend spending a little more for your own private pool.
Open air kitchen complete with night time geckos scurrying about the walls.
Arrived to a giant iguana sitting in the palm tree next to the pool.
Local kids art.
Nice lunch spot.
Seeing a bunch of Portuguese Man of War makes you a tad nervous... In the water they look like a floating pieces of bubble gum. Pretty easy to spot.
Hike 4 miles to San Poncho and had to scurry under the fence of the old president's compound.
Eat, drink, swim, walk and repeat.
Dead mahi mahi
Someone commented on Instagram "butt snorkle".
Best place to be a street dog... He had such a huge smile as he quickly passed us.
Every night we'd drink beer watching these dudes eat their insect dinners and listen to their gecko noises. They chirp like birds. Unique sound.
If you have to do a little work on vacation, not a bad place.
Not everything is cheap in Mexico. Airport food is expensive around the globe.
Straight from the airport, we swung through The Luggage Store for Needles & Pens 10 year anniversary show.
Andrew and Breezy of Needles and Pens celebrate 10 years of awesomeness... We wanted to stay and party longer but sun burnt and exhuasted from relaxing too hard.
Save money and go on vacation.
